Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to create production drawings and plans for the manufacturing and rebuild of underground mining equipment, parts, and components.


* Create technical drawings as needed to support production and rebuild operations at Fabick Mining.
* Produce drawings and production materials based on reverse engineering of existing products of our Customers to be used in the manufacture, maintenance, or repair of custom products or structures.
* Produce drawings and plans for all structural projects including welding, machining, and assembly details.
* Electrical drafting to produce diagrams related to the installation and repair of basic wiring systems.
* Create, save and view drawings and plans in the CADD system.
* Calculate structural strength, assess capacity limits, and estimate costs.
* Assist with PPAP and ISO9001:2015 quality control plans and documentation as necessary.
* Any and all duties as assigned.


* Associates degree in Drafting/Design required. Bachelor's degree in process for engineering preferred.
* American Design Drafting Association certification for drafters is preferred.
* 1-5 years current drawing experience with Auto CAD / Expert CAD relating to schematic design, design development, documents.
* Strong experience with mining equipment rebuilds and heavy fabrication/manufacturing a plus.
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Auto CAD/CADD.
* Strong critical thinking, detail-oriented, math, interpersonal, and time management skills are required.
* Must be organized, self-motivated, and manage high workflow.

Special Physical Requirements:

In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: work in all types of weather (extreme heat and cold), lifting 50lb objects on a regular basis.
