The Role

Our Truck Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing on-highway trucks to ensure the customer receives maximum value for work performed.Job duties:

  • Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance for on-highway truckDiagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
  • Class A CDL required or ability to obtain CDL within three months of start date
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
  • Knowledge of use of various on-highway trucks
  • Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications

What will put you ahead:

  • Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with Class 8 trucks)
  • Stable work history
  • All makes and models of engine rebuilds
  • Class A CDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL
