Ferguson is currently seeking a Distribution Center Trainer for our Bloomingdale, GA distribution center. This role is a great fit for individuals with warehouse or logistics experience who are passionate about training, coaching, and helping associates succeed while maintaining safety and accuracy.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8a-4:30p
This role requires flexibility in scheduling and availability to work overtime based on building needs.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of training / trainer experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Experience operating and training on Powered Industrial Equipment (PIT), such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage priorities through effective organization, delegation, and time leadership skills
- Uses creativity and adaptability when leveraging translation devices, programs, and other resources to communicate training content and direction to non‑English‑speaking associates {Note: Include / exclude as applicable}
- Demonstrates effective listening skills through full understanding & execution
- Proficient in computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups and communicate seamlessly with audiences across all levels
- Strong interpersonal & customer service skills and a team-centric mentality
- Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, working at heights up to 30 feet, and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
- Experience with, or readiness to learn, warehouse technology such as RF scanners or voice systems
- Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements
- Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate onboarding and training schedules for new and tenured associates
- Facilitate hands-on, on-the-job training across warehouse roles and processes
- Train associates on safety expectations, including warehouse safety and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations
- Conduct one-on-one training on job-specific tasks and WMS processes
- Lead PIT training, including initial certifications, recertifications, and post-incident retraining
- Audit associate work to ensure adherence to training standards and SOPs
- Audit training processes across departments to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Track and maintain accurate training records for all associates
- Provide recurring training and reinforcement for safety and required certification programs
- Partner with leadership to identify training gaps and recommend improvements
- Provide day-to-day coaching, guidance, and support to associates
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
