Role Overview
Venturi Supply is looking for a dependable, motivated Fabrication Associate to join our Phoenix fabrication team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn and grow within the fabrication industry.
Previous fabrication experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
The ideal candidate is someone who shows up on time, works safely, takes direction well, and is willing to learn. The associate will work alongside experienced fabrication employees while learning plate forming, material preparation, equipment operation, and other fabrication processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with prefabrication and forming of flat plate material.
- Learn to operate plate rolls, Piranha ironworker equipment, band saws, and other fabrication machinery.
- Perform hand rolling and forming of plate components.
- Measure, mark, and prepare material using tape measures, squares, gauges, and basic fabrication tools.
- Learn to read and interpret fabrication drawings, dimensions, and material cut lists.
- Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions and quality.
- Deburr, clean, and prepare fabricated components for the next stage of production.
- Safely use grinders, drills, hand tools, and other shop equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist welders and other fabrication personnel as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional fabrication duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education GED - High School Diploma.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, mechanical, or fabrication experience would be preferred but is not required.
- Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time.
- Willingness to learn fabrication equipment and processes.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic ability to read a tape measure or willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to perform basic shop math.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely and as part of a team.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking for full shift, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
